Salary: Up to £44,300, commensurate on skills and experience.
What you’ll be doing:
* Conduct thorough examinations, maintenance, commissioning, and defect diagnosis of lifts, lifting appliances, and associated systems.
* Operate safe systems of work that comply with the company SHE procedures at all times.
* Apply your knowledge, skills, and experience to resolve issues and faults related to the operation and performance of systems.
* Work with technical autonomy and provide advice and guidance to other technical staff.
* Provide mentorship and technical guidance to less experienced engineers.
* Engage with customers and authorities in writing, by telephone, or face-to-face to discuss technical issues and problems.
* Support the wider teams in their activities to maintain utilization and produce detailed technical reports.
Your skills and experiences:
* Experience in examinations, maintenance, commissioning, and defect diagnosis of Marine Lifts and lifting appliances.
* Technical knowledge and broad experience of Mechanical Systems, especially lifting appliances and lifts, including maintenance, legislation, and inspection requirements.
* Demonstrable experience in maintenance and inspection of Marine Lift Systems, with a keen interest in technological updates.
* Ability to carry out scheduled maintenance, examinations, fault diagnosis, and defect rectification.
* Qualified to NVQ level 3 & 4 to support inspection and maintenance activities.

The Test and Commissioning Team:
Responsible for inspecting and maintaining lifts and lifting appliances on board Royal Navy vessels, ensuring work meets standards and is delivered efficiently and professionally.
