We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Specialist to support neurodivergent teenagers, including those with autism, ADHD and learning differences. The role involves providing personalised support, facilitating social and life skills development, and working closely with families, educators and other professionals to help young people thrive socially, academically and emotionally.
This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by empowering teenagers to build confidence, independence and the skills they need for adulthood.
This role is directly linked to EHCP funding and is therefore offered on a fixed-term contract for one term in the first instance.

Key responsibilities for the role :

Develop and implement personalized support plans tailored to the unique needs of neurodivergent teenagers.

Facilitate social skills groups, life skills training, and therapeutic activities.

Collaborate closely with families, educators, and healthcare providers to ensure a consistent and supportive environment.
*
Monitor progress and adapt interventions based on ongoing assessments and feedback.
*
Provide advocacy and resources to help teens navigate school, social settings, preparation for adulthood and community involvement.
*
Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of sessions, progress, and outcomes.

Stay informed on best practices, research, and approaches for supporting neurodivergent youth.
The successful candidate will:
The successful candidate will have a strong interest in supporting neurodivergent young people and a commitment to inclusive, strengths-based practice. They will ideally hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Special Education, Counselling, or a related field, and have at least two years’ experience working directly with neurodivergent children or teenagers. A solid understanding of neurodiversity, including autism spectrum conditions and ADHD, is essential.
