SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER Our Client, Aberdeen based Operator is seeking an experienced senior electrical engineer to join their Aberdeen based team. This is a 6 Month PAYE contract role with Hybrid working in place. MAIN ACTIVITIES: SECE, VERIFICATION & ASSURANCE: Ensure work is carried out in accordance with the approved procedures and in accordance with the performance standard requirements and OIAVS. Define and continuously maintain the means of assurance activities required to achieve and maintain the performance standards for safety critical equipment over the asset life cycle. Provide necessary input to derogation justification requests against GS EP EXP 407 for discipline TA review / approval Participate in safety studies/HAZOPS /HAZID / ORA / SARA Provide support to asset activities related to discipline to ensure that affiliate procedures and company referential is met. BUDGET: Provide input to the annual discipline budget based on planned activities and historical emergent work. Meet the requirements of cost control process within discipline budget for routine and non-routine jobs and modifications. Provide justification for breaking in any exceptional activities to the annual budget Approval of new material requisitions through the Company tools. Carry out periodic review of inventory levels along with inventory team to ensure they are optimised to reflect critical spares requirements and consumables meeting rate or consumption, ensure that a review of spares against criticality is carried out periodically to mitigate risks from single point failures. PERSONNEL MANAGMENT: Develop and maintain good working relationships with site personnel through effective communication and by making regular visits to operated assets. Support the development of skills and knowledge to deliver best performance from both an individual and team perspective. Share best practices and ways or working with discipline engineers within the asset and affiliate engineers, technical authorities and discipline HQ metiers. CONTRACT MANAGEMENT: Manage / Facilitate contract tenders and negotiations relating to maintenance services. Manage / Facilitate SQM meetings. Lead, as appropriate, in vendor/contractor audits. Identify opportunities to improve contractor/supplier performance, reduce costs and improve the quality of services/products supplied. MAINTENANCE ENGINEERING: Contribute to the development of strategies for the maintenance, inspection and operation of plant/equipment to ensure that all plant and equipment meet continued assurance, verification and compliance requirements, in accordance with the Client's maintenance philosophy. Apply LEAN process to optimise maintenance in accordance with the Client minimum maintenance guidelines. Issue and review the required PM master data changes to optimize the preventive maintenance activity. Ensure all relevant maintenance procedures and documentation are maintained in an accurate and status and are available on request. Report maintenance, integrity and inspection KPI's that drives Asset improvement for maintenance work management Where appropriate provide input to justification for derogation requests against GS EP EXP 213 for discipline metier review / approval Ensure that the condition monitoring equipment is being utilised effectively to reduce periodic intrusive maintenance to meet the requirements of the Client condition monitoring strategy TECHNICAL: Works within a team of multi-discipline engineers, providing work/project progress, agreeing priorities and time schedule. Provide specialist technical/engineering advice and guidance to tier 1 and offshore personnel on the operation and maintenance of plant/equipment ensuring highest safety standards, a timely response to technical engineering queries and minimal disruption to operations. Ensure that incidents are investigated and action incident close-outs as appropriate. Provide technical input to RCA process and ownership of actions that prevent recurrence. Conduct ad-hoc technical surveys on site/offshore and at vendor/repair locations, providing detailed technical reports identifying problems and solutions and ensuring optimum performance from contractors. Verify that maintenance and inspection strategies being executed are optimal for cost and reliability to meet the Asset availability targets as per the RAM and production efficiency targets Prepare/Review scopes of work and economic justification for facility modifications, ensuring they are correctly engineered, documented, executed and closed out with new asset maintenance added to SAP in accordance with statutory/Company standards. Investigate more complex equipment problems as member of multi-discipline teams that may include the support of DSO product line, discipline metiers and external industry expertise. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: Candidate Profile (Mandatory Field): Degree in Engineering/Technical Discipline. Significant engineering experience in the oil & gas industry, including offshore/site experience. Chartered Engineer status Detailed knowledge of legislation/regulations relevant to discipline. Significant knowledge of offshore/terminal plant and equipment and maintenance systems. Recognised level of Company expertise in technical discipline.
