CAD/ CAM Programmer

Regional Recruitment Services are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business based in Leicester, who are looking to add a CAD/ CAM Programmer to their team on a permanent basis.
The Role
RRS are seeking a highly motivated individual for a CAD programming position. The role is to produce high quality and dimensionally accurate engineering drawings and CNC programs for the manufacturing of sheet metal to client orders and specifications
Key Responsibilities
- Create accurate CAD/CAM flat pattern drawings in line with client's requests
- Use flat pattern drawings to create CNC programs for laser machine and press brake
- Produce folding instructions and drawing for operators
- Monitor and document any changes to CNC programs
- Clear and concise drawing control
- Generate and maintain records of CNC programs
- Review and modify existing programs to improve efficiency
- Provide excellent customer service and develop rapport with clients
Skills, Experience & Personal Attributes
- Experience of CNC programming or a relevant CNC Programming qualification
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (sheet metal design experience)
- Ability to read and create CAD drawings for manufacturing
- Good mathematical skills
- Working knowledge of using Microsoft Office and CAD / CAM software
- Good attention to detail, with high levels of accuracy & a commitment to quality
- Able to work on & use own initiative & problem solve
- Strong communication, team working & people skills
- Demonstrate a professional & courteous attitude
- Positive attitude to innovation & change
