Job Summary - Temporary Maternity Cover - Minimum of 11 months - Could lead to permanent position thereafter .
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cover Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various Cleaning and warehouse settings, demonstrating the ability to supervise staff, Maintain a clean environment and complete the tasks in hand.
Duties
* 1. Team Oversight & Accountability
* Oversee all night shift operations and take full responsibility for the performance and conduct of the night shift team.
2. Timekeeping & Shift Efficiency
* Ensure the full close-down and clean of all trucks is completed within the scheduled shift time.
* Minimise the need for overtime through effective time management and team coordination.
* Track timing for each task and refine processes for maximum efficiency.
3. Health, Safety & Compliance
* Ensure all night shift team members are fit to work before the start of each shift.
* Monitor health and safety adherence during all shift activities.
* Report any injuries, hazards, or incidents to Operations immediately.
* Ensure safe food handling, storage, and hygiene procedures are followed at all times.
4. Stock Management & Communication
* Work closely with Kitchen Management to:
* Monitor stock levels on the trucks during the night shift.
* Report low or out-of-stock items in advance.
* Ensure all necessary restocking is completed accurately before trucks are dispatched the next day.
* Maintain clear and professional communication with both Kitchen Management and Operations regarding:
* Stock concerns.
* Equipment issues.
* Observations regarding the day team's performance or procedural issues.
5. Team Development & Supervision
* Check the work of all night shift team members throughout the shift to ensure all tasks meet company standards.
* Provide on-the-job feedback and support to help team members improve.
* maintain a Night Shift Training & Check Sheet for all new team members, ensuring:
* Proper training is documented.
* Each team member is aware of expectations.
* Complete monthly 1-to-1 job chats with each night shift team member and report key insights to Operations during your own monthly 1-to-1.
6. Quality Assurance & Truck Readiness
* Ensure all trucks are:
* Deep cleaned and sanitised to standard.
* Fully restocked and operational.
* Checked for issues, damage, or maintenance requirements.
* Communicate any faults or concerns found on the trucks directly to Operations and support arranging follow-up actions.
7. Leadership, Positivity & Culture
* Foster a positive and motivated team culture on the night shift.
* Lead by example in both attitude and work ethic.
* Ensure every team member ends their shift feeling supported, heard, and ready for future success.
* maintain the structured Night Shift Plan that clearly outlines:
* Tasks required for truck close-down.
* Deep cleaning routines and restocking protocols.
* Sign-off checkpoints for accountability (Night Shift team signs at the end of shift, Truck team signs at the start of the next day).
* Ensure each task is completed to a high standard and signed off by appropriate team members.

* Proven experience within a supervisory or management role
* proven experience working in a cleaning role
* proven experience working within a warehouse environment
* ability to work nights
Shifts
The usual working pattern is Wednesday to Saturday 10pm - 5am Sundays 9pm-4am
We also operate on various Tuesday's 10pm-5am this can either be taken as overtime or alternatively split out amongst the team - work Tuesday - Take Sunday off.
Times can vary across the week if the trucks are out at events - you must be willing to be flexible.
