Overview

This is a Senior Care Assistant role at Avery Healthcare, a leading provider of luxury elderly care homes in the UK. The role involves supporting the care team in delivering high-quality personal care to residents, while also taking on additional responsibilities such as care planning, staff supervision, and acting as a key point of contact for residents, families, and healthcare professionals.


Main duties of the job

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff. Your responsibilities will include monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being involved in the person-centred care planning process, supporting residents with their medication requirements, and undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development.

* Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, noting changes impacting care and updating care plans as needed.
* Involved in the person-centred care planning process, implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
* Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
* Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff development where required.
* Acting as a key contact for residents, relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals, ensuring reasonable requests are addressed and concerns or complaints are escalated.

* Ensuring written records reflect changes in residents\' needs.


About you

To be successful, you will live our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable in all that you do. Our ideal candidate must:

* Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
* Have 2 years of experience in a similar care environment.
* Be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
* Have a positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
* Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Person Specification


Qualifications

* NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes, and 2 years\' experience in a similar care environment.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
* Positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
