The Opportunity
As an experienced Electrical Site Manager, you will oversee electrical packages on a hotel refurbishment in Manchester. You will ensure installations are delivered to design specifications, meet safety standards, and are completed within project timelines. You will coordinate schedules with contractors, suppliers, and other trades, supervise the on-site electrical team, and carry out regular inspections to uphold quality and compliance.

* Valid CSCS / JIB Card
Experience
* Proven industry expertise with a track record of overseeing electrical packages on commercial refurbishment projects
* Extensive background within the industry with experience in a similar position for a skilled contractor or subcontractor

* Strong electrical knowledge
* Competent IT / software skills
* Extensive health and safety knowledge
* Effective communication skills, verbal and written
* Ability to organise and manage project schedules
* Solid understanding of relevant regulations and standards
* Proven ability to lead, support, and direct a team effectively
* In-depth understanding of construction methods, materials, and building processes
* Attention to detail to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings
* Prepare progress reports and manage on-site subcontractors
* Undertake ongoing safety assessments and workplace inspections
* Approve invoices for electrical work and manage contractor payments
* Ensure work progresses in line with the project plan and timeline
* Identify and resolve on-site technical challenges with effective solutions
* Ensure all site operations comply with health and safety regulations
* Monitor project expenses and manage resources to stay within budget
* Procure materials and equipment to guarantee timely delivery
* Resolve issues with materials, labour, or equipment to avoid delays
* Assess the quality of work to ensure it meets project specifications
* Coordinate with design teams to address design vs. site discrepancies
* Implement quality control measures for electrical installations
* Maintain communication with clients and provide project updates
* Communicate changes, delays, or issues with electrical installations to stakeholders
* Prepare cost estimates and anticipate potential additional expenses
* Participate in project meetings to update on status, timelines, and risks
* Inspect electrical work at various stages to ensure compliance with building codes
* Coordinate testing and commissioning of electrical installations
* Maintain detailed records of electrical activities and inspections
* Organise inspections by regulatory authorities and address any required corrections promptly
* Ensure workers are trained and follow safety procedures, including PPE
* Procure electrical materials and equipment to ensure on-time delivery
