SEN Teacher – ARP Provision | Barnet | September 2026 Start
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate SEN Teacher to join the ARP provision within a welcoming primary school in Barnet on a permanent basis from September 2026.
The ARP supports a small group of 8 pupils in Years 3–6 with Autism, with some children also presenting with ADHD and associated challenging behaviours. This is a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated SEN Teacher who is committed to creating an inclusive, structured, and nurturing learning environment where every child can thrive.

Setting: ARP within Mainstream Primary School
The successful SEN Teacher will:
1. Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs
2. Support pupils with Autism, ADHD, and associated behavioural needs
3. Create a positive, safe, and structured learning environment
4. Work closely with support staff, SENCOs, and external professionals
5. Use effective behaviour management strategies to support pupil progress
6. Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
To be considered for this SEN Teacher role, you must have:
7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
8. Previous experience working with children with SEN, particularly Autism and ADHD
9. Strong understanding of behaviour management and inclusive teaching strategies
10. A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
11. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
