Position:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Violence and Aggression team of NHS Ayrshire & Arran. We are currently seeking proactive and highly motivated colleagues to join and support the provision of a professional training service in all matters relating to the management of Violence & Aggression, ensuring the design, development, delivery and evaluation of an efficient training programme.

Hours:

From 1 April 2026, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will be reduced. Full-time hours will reduce from 37 to 36 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings.

2 x VIOLENCE & AGGRESSION TRAINERS

1 x FULL TIME: 37 hours per week

1 x PART TIME: 37 hours per fortnight (week 1: 3 days, week 2: – 2 days)

UK Driving Licence:

A UK drivers licence is essential to this role.

What you will do:

This position will bring you into contact with a broad range of employees throughout NHS Ayrshire & Arran; therefore excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with all disciplines of staff are essential. You must be able to demonstrate your abilities in the delivery of training courses.

This is a physically challenging role and will require working flexibly at training venues across the organisation and occasionally at other venues.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

The successful candidate will be required to hold a current a Therapeutic Management of Aggression and Violence (TMAV) Instructors Certificate or equivalent, however training is available to the successful candidate.
