Overview

Camel Creek opened a high-quality Glamping and Camping site in July 2025. With the first season of welcoming guests, ending with positive feedback and happy holiday makers, we are now ready and excited to welcome a couple to join our team who are willing to be responsible for the smooth running of Camel Creek's Glamping and Camping Park for the 2026 season.

To be considered for this role you will apply as a couple and be willing to live on-site working together sharing tasks and responsibilities throughout the year. The main season will begin in April and end in October. However, the position requires a constant managerial presence and therefore the successful couple will agree a full-time commitment throughout the high season with reduced availability during other periods.

This role will be ideal for a smart, well presented & physically fit couple with excellent communication skills, experience with the public and a good sense of humour.

Being a Park Warden couple isn't easy; you need to thrive under pressure, enjoy hard work and collaborate with other teams in the business.

Responsibilities

. Greet and assist guests upon arrival, providing information about park facilities, rules, and services and showing guests to their accommodation or pitch

· Respond to guest enquiries and concerns promptly, maintaining a high level of professionalism, discretion and courtesy

· Ensure amenities are always in good working order

· Liaise with the retail team to ensure that camping resources are well stocked in the main retail unit

· Administration experience is essential for at least one person

· Expected hours: 20-40 hours per week, depending on season, holidays with increased hours in the high season

· Keep pitches, paths, and communal areas tidy and well-presented.

· Assist with landscaping tasks such as mowing, weeding, and clearing debris

· Ensure waste is removed and guests are encouraged to use the facilities in a respectful manner

· Responsible for basic repairs and reporting larger, out of job scope, issues to the on-site maintenance team

· Keep accurate records of incidents, guest concerns and provide detailed day-sheets on guest and park activities

· Maintain cleanliness of communal areas and glamping units

· Perform basic maintenance and groundskeeping tasks including regular compliance checks and recording daily/weekly/monthly/annual checks

· Ensure regular site checks are completed, recorded and stored on internal systems

· Ensure rules are followed by guests, employees and other visitors

· Respond to emergencies and assist with first aid calls within the glamping and camping site

· Ensure fire pits, barbecues and other equipment is used and disposed of safely within the site

· Monitor and take responsibility for non-authorised persons on the glamping/camping site

· Conduct regular patrols of the site to ensure safety and security, escalating any issues

The successful couple will agree to complete a DBS check, hold full driving licence and commit to a schedule of work including unsociable hours, to maintain the safety and security of the site and guests.

All Camel Creek employees are expected to demonstrate and coach others in the use of Camel Creek's agreed behaviours and engage and champion organisational changes and health and wellbeing initiatives.

Person Specification

Essential:

· Ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and tact

· Excellent interpersonal and intrapersonal and customer service skills

· A practical, hands-on approach and problem-solving mindset

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Comfortable working outdoors in all weather

· Basic maintenance and DIY skills

· Ability to communicate both verbally and written with a level of administration & IT/data system knowledge

Desirable:

· Previous experience in hospitality or site management

· Basic maintenance or DIY skills

· First aid certification

· Familiarity with booking systems or site management software
