Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
An award-winning Building & Civil Engineering contractor based in Co. Down is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The company has recently expanded into new markets and sectors, particularly in infrastructure and specialist areas, earning a reputation as a leading and reputable contractor delivering quality solutions to a diverse customer base.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide commercial support to the project team.
2. Maintain accurate commercial information and ensure contractual compliance.
3. Liaise with customer representatives and third parties on commercial issues, including variations, claims, and payments.
4. Ensure timely and accurate cost and value reporting at project and business levels.
5. Manage costs, forecasts, and cash flow reporting.
6. Update CVR, cost, and commercial plans, and oversee commercial performance and strategy.
7. Negotiate and establish appropriate terms with subcontractors, managing associated risks.
8. Engage with the supply chain under suitable contract terms.
9. Foster good client relationships.
10. Handle subcontract letting, negotiations, and financial accounting.
11. Coordinate effectively between the commercial team and operational site teams.
Candidate Requirements:
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveyor role.
* Degree in Quantity Surveying.
* Familiarity with ICE/NEC forms of contract (NEC3 or NEC4).
* Knowledge of current Construction Law.
