You will spend the majority of activity liaising with clinical teams in an outpatient or inpatient setting across our maternity and neonatal services but will also undertake some office-based work. The office time is spent ensuring accurate data is collected for our patients and learning how to establish new NIHR studies within our Trust.
Confidence using IT systems is essential, as well as compassion and excellent communication skills which are paramount.
Most of the research activity is undertaken Monday to Friday within normal working hours; however, it can vary and early starts (7:30am onwards) or late finishes (after 5pm) may be required on occasions to accommodate studies and your individual workload.
The post will be based mainly at Burnley General Teaching Hospital. However, there may be occasions where travel to other ELHT sites is necessary as per service need therefore flexibility is an essential attribute.
