About the Role
Onshore Technical is supporting a leading integrity services organisation in the recruitment of an ACFM NDT Inspector to join their Tank Inspection team based in Newcastle.
The successful candidate will undertake inspection and verification activities using Alternating Current Field Measurement (ACFM) techniques, supporting the inspection and integrity management of above-ground storage tanks and associated infrastructure.
The role will involve working across various industrial environments including oil & gas terminals, refineries, and storage facilities across the UK and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform ACFM inspections on storage tanks and associated structures
* Support tank inspection and integrity verification programmes
* Carry out inspections in accordance with relevant NDT procedures and industry standards
* Interpret inspection results and identify potential defects
* Produce clear and accurate technical reports
* Work closely with inspection and engineering teams during field activities
* Maintain compliance with all safety and operational procedures
* Travel to inspection sites across the UK and occasionally internationally
Requirements
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in industrial NDT inspection
* ACFM certification (PCN or equivalent)
* Experience working within tank inspection or asset integrity programmes
* Background in oil & gas, petrochemical, or energy infrastructure
* Strong technical reporting skills
* Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
* Right to live and work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
* Experience inspecting above-ground storage tanks (ASTs)
* Experience with PLRAS or other advanced inspection techniques
* Additional NDT certifications such as UT, MT, or Eddy Current
* Experience working within refinery, terminal, or tank farm environments
