Qualifications and Experience
* Passionate about Design and Technology teaching across Key Stage 3, 4 and 5.
* Strong knowledge of current trends, technologies and teaching methods in the subject.
* Proven track record of achieving strong results in GCSE and A Level Design and Technology.
* Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills with the ability to motivate staff and students.
* Proven ability to develop and improve teaching resources and deliver professional development.
* Strong classroom practice, modelling excellent teaching and supporting others.
* Flexible and committed to engage in the wider curriculum through “Going Beyond” and enrichment activities.
Responsibilities
* Design, deliver and assess curriculum across Key Stage 3, 4 and 5.
* Develop and improve teaching and learning resources for the department.
* Plan and conduct whole‑school and departmental professional development sessions.
* Support and coach, particularly new and early career teachers.
* Provide leadership in curriculum strategy and delivery, ensuring high quality outcomes.
* Collaborate with colleagues across the school for the “Going Beyond” programme.
* Maintain high standards of assessment and grading to evaluate student progress.
