NHSCT Practice Education Facilitator Band 7
Bush House, 45 Bush Road, Antrim.Contribute to the development of, and sustain an effective learning environment for pre and post registered nursing, midwifery and specialist community public health nursing students in the Trust.He/she will be required to contribute to the implementation of a learning and assessment governance framework to ensure that the Nursing and Midwifery Council’s (NMC) Standards for Learning & Assessment in Practice are met.Act as a member of the team of nursing and midwifery practice education facilitators contributing to the high quality of placement learning experience for students, across the Trust, to ensure that they complete programmes for registration or recording a qualification with the NMC.
Responsibilities
* Be responsible for providing professional support and facilitation for ward managers and team leaders, mentors/practice teachers and students, in collaboration with Trust Senior Nurses
* Work in partnership with others to contribute to systems that critically evaluate the effectiveness of learning and education activities within pre and specific post-registration programmes.
* Deputise for the Lead Nurse for Education and Development, and to provide cover for team colleagues as and when required.
* Work flexible hours as the needs of the service demands.
Skills and Qualifications
* Registered Nurse/Midwifery/SCPHN on the live NMC Register. AND 5years post registration experience (excluding courses) at Band 5 or above, in a Health and Social Care service or education setting. OR
* OR Have experience for at least 3 years as a Band 6 or above AND Have experience for at least 2 years as a Practice Assessor/Practice Supervisor
