Mechanical Technician - Trailers
Our client is a specialist in the provision of engineering solutions to a wide variety of manufacturing and process industries. A global business and respected innovator they are constantly driving their growth and product range.
A recent addition to their offerings has led to a brand-new workshop and vacancies for 2 x Mechanical Technicians to work on specialist transport vehicles.
About the Role:
As a mechanical workshop Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, repairing, and servicing specialist truck and trailers for the cooling and transport of liquid filled gases. This will include; Gas storage tanks and insulation, transfer systems, pumps, pipework, valve control systems, guages, and regulators. This will also include trailer maintenance such as braking, wheels, axles, lighting etc
The successful Workshop Technician:
Specific vehicle and system training will be offered, and the preference is to find “Junior Technicians” demonstrating the core mechanical skills and the aptitude to learn.
We’re looking for candidates ideally with:-
* Some hands-on practical training around HGV/Commercial vehicle or trailers (or related mechanics)
* A good attitude to learning something new and ability to quickly apply new skills.
* General mechanical maintenance skills around HGV / Commercial trailers and (ideally), basic welding.
* Full training provided, but any knowledge/experience in transportation systems for Frozen, Refrigerated goods or ideally, liquified gases.
