Strategic Resources are currently looking for a highly experienced Finance Assistant to join our fast-paced recruitment and payroll business, placed at the heart of the energy sector in Aberdeen, UK.
This role forms part of the finance function, working in collaboration with all areas of the business and supporting our prestigious Energy Sector Clients & Contractors’.
This is a permanent/staff vacancy.
The role and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:-
• A proven track record of working on payrolls, accurately and within specific deadlines is required to apply for this role
• Experience in payroll reconciliation
• Candidates must be experienced in the accurate preparation, analysis, and reporting of financial information
• Experience of recording, reporting, and monitoring cashflow is required to meet the role expectations
• The role will involve liaising with the designated Pension Provider to meet all required deadlines
• The successful incumbent will work closely with the Senior Leadership team
• The role requires dedicated attention to detail including the accurate and timely processing of all financial routines/ fiscal calendars etc.
• Familiar with HMRC processes and reporting deadlines
• Experience of Accounts Payable processes would also be highly advantageous for this position
We are looking for an individual experienced with a Finance and/or Accounting background having sound knowledge of current Payroll & Pension Legislation.
Ability to analyse financial issues that arise and to work with the Management in providing sound and effective solutions.
Ability to think strategically utilising business acumen.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail is required within this role.
Candidates must be extremely proficient in MS Office, SAGE, and EXCEL.
