Haematologist - Acute Myeloid Leukemia Lead

About the role
This role is for the below sessions but not limited :
* Weekly Friday, Haematology Acute Myeloid Leukemia Outpatients
* Weekly, variable days, ward Service
To be successful in this role, the following will be required :
* Consistent demonstration of clinical competency.
* To provide excellent haematology clinical inpatient and out-patient care for his / her patients.
* To provide medical expertise as the leader in acute myeloid leukemia.
* Consultant experience and expertise in all aspects of Haematology.
* Current medical registration with AHPRA.
* High levels of professionalism and working relationships with all co-workers.
* Monitor agreed NWAU targets and other throughput targets where applicable for the Unit.
* Capacity to work across different hospital sites within Eastern Health.
* Provide governance leadership to ensure Eastern Health acute myeloid leukemia practices are consistent with current evidence for safe and effective treatments.
* Lead the acute myeloid leukemia clinical trials portfolio.
* Participate and maintain local and ALLG acute myeloid leukemia databases.
* Provide consultant clinical advice for haemostasis and thrombosis cases.
* Participate and contribute to educational and other Microbiology activities as requested by Clinical Head of unit to Eastern Health Pathology.
* Ensure discharged patients have documentation of their care for LMO follow up.
* Provide supervision, advice and training as required for junior staff and when advice is requested. Regularly conduct in house seminars or other educational activities e.g. help assist with study / exam preparation for candidates sitting clinical or scientific papers.
* Professional representation of the department and hospital internally within Eastern Health and externally in the broader health system.
