Interim Management Development Consultant - Higher Education
Daily rate: £300- £400 per day (Inside IR35)
Hybrid: 2 days on-site, South East
Full-time | 12-month contract | Immediate Start
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Learning and Development professional to join a prestigious and forward-thinking organisation on an interim basis. This role sits within a high-performing Organisational Development team and is focused on designing and delivering innovative, inclusive, and high-impact management development initiatives.
Working across academic, research and professional services communities, the successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing management capability and supporting a culture of leadership excellence. You'll work collaboratively with senior stakeholders, HR colleagues and external partners to shape and embed blended learning programmes, including digital content, face-to-face workshops, and coaching-based solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and deliver end-to-end management development programmes across multiple delivery methods.
* Analyse development needs and tailor initiatives aligned to organisational strategy and people plans.
* Collaborate with digital learning and EDI teams to create inclusive, impactful learning content.
* Evaluate learning outcomes and drive continuous improvement.
* Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across HR, OD, and leadership networks.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Significant experience of the full L&D cycle, with a focus on management/leadership development.
* Proven track record of delivering impactful blended learning solutions in complex organisations.
* Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
* Experience working with diverse staff groups, with a sound understanding of EDI principles.
* Comfortable working across both digital and face-to-face learning environments.
* Ideally qualified in relevant psychometric tools (e.g. Insights, DISC) and experienced with platforms like SharePoint.
