Program Overview
Join our Classroom-based Initial Teacher Training (ITT) program at Clacton Coastal Academy. Lift Schools, a leading school trust nationwide, partners with Ark Teacher Training to deliver this program.
Earn a PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status while gaining practical classroom experience as a Maths Teacher. Your tutor and coach will support your development, gradually increasing your independent teaching time.
Utilize your STEM degree to inspire future Scientists, Mathematicians, and Computer Scientists.
The Program Includes
1. Summer School: Two weeks of intensive preparation in August to build educational theory and practice foundations.
2. Personalized Support: Ongoing advice and guidance from your tutor and in-school coach.
3. Weekly Training: Regular sessions throughout the year to enhance your teaching skills.
4. National Support Network: Access to a community of trainees and alumni across the country.
5. Commitment to Equal Opportunity: Support systems to help all trainees reach their potential.
The training is school-based, with half a day weekly dedicated to sessions with your Ark tutor and fellow trainees.
Salary Details
Graduate Teaching Apprenticeship: £21,731 + £9,250 tuition fees paid by Lift Schools (£25,758 in London).
Tuition-Fee Route: Up to £30,000 per annum, with scholarships or bursaries based on degree classification (e.g., 1st or 2:1 = £30,000 scholarship; 2:1 or 2:2 = £28,000 bursary).
Second-year guaranteed salary: £31,650 (£36,413 in London).
