Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations within our busy Sports Bar and casual restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in food service, and the ability to manage a team effectively. A background in sport led venue management and / or keen personal interest in sport would be beneficial.
As the shift manager at Ralph's Roadhouse, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our venue. You will work closely with the senior management team to uphold our standards of excellence in customer service, food quality, and team performance. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the success and growth of a new dynamic hospitality establishment.
Duties
* Supervise and coordinate team activities during assigned shifts to ensure smooth operation
* Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining quality standards
* Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
* Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely replenishment of stock
* Handle customer queries or complaints professionally to uphold excellent service standards
* Handling sports schedules and event planning
* Lead by example in demonstrating hospitality, leadership, and teamwork
Requirements
* Proven experience in supervising within a restaurant or hospitality setting, ideally with a sport based background
* Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols
* Demonstrable leadership skills with experience in team management and supervising staff
* Familiarity with food production processes and kitchen operations
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
* Good communication skills to liaise with staff and customers professionally
* Previous experience in serving or hospitality roles is advantageous
* Ability to work under pressure during busy periods while maintaining high standards of service
* Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including evenings and weekends
