Dynamic and enthusiastic individual is sought to take responsibility for membership, recruitment and members services of a national, agricultural trade association.
Location: Grange Farm, Wittering, near Peterborough. A lovely rural location, with dog walking and equestrian facilities on site. Attendance at events and shows across the UK will be required. Additional travel may be required.
Position: Full-time role. Flexible working considered. Salary will be commensurate with experience £27,000-£32,000.
The new team member must be highly organised, able to multi-task, with excellent communication skills and attention to detail. We are seeking a degree or equivalent qualification. Excellent IT and communication skills are essential, alongside the ability to work independently.
This role may suit a candidate seeking a varied position combining membership support, marketing, technical engagement and industry involvement. Knowledge or experience of agriculture, land-based industries or rural business is desirable.
Reporting to: NAAC Chief Executive
The role will include:
• Lead on recruitment and retention of new members
• Grow and retain affinity relationships with Corporate partners
• Lead on Membership benefits package
• Membership communication
• Proactively develop new, forward-thinking ideas to promote the Association, support members and encourage recruitment
• Respond to members questions and enquiries
• Promote membership to list of leads via Mailchimp newsletter
• Attend shows/events to generate new leads
• Manage NAAC social media channels
• Design assets, co-ordinate and review post circulation
• Promote membership benefits to members and non-members via social media, NAAC website and e-shot campaigns
• Plan, organise and market training/events for members of the Association
• Plan and organise the annual national AGM
• Manage NAAC attendance at shows and events
• Promote Association events via all available marketing channels
• Maintain and review NAAC website (with external support)
• Contribute to publication of NAAC member’s Bulletin
• Assist in technical management of NAAC Assured Land-Based Contractor Scheme (ALBC)
• Attend technical meetings and review consultations where required to support NAAC CEO.
Candidate qualities
Essential
• Enthusiastic and proactive individual, seeking a varied role and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a small team environment
• Confident communicator with the ability to engage professionally with members, partners and stakeholders.
• Confidence and experience in database management; social media; Website updating; OneDrive; Google package (including analytics); Mailchimp.
• Candidate must be willing to work in a flexible role and take on other duties as needed
• Willingness to attend events and travel occasionally, including some overnight stays.
• Computer literate and familiar with Windows package
• Full UK driving licence.
