Provide practical and analytical justification to enable effective delivery of warehousing & distribution improvement projects. Responsible for defining solution options and recommending preferred approaches for warehouse design and improvement initiatives. Create cost models and return of investment analyses for proposed designs and technologies, evaluating and recommending approaches including cost, service and scalability. Analyse current operations, workflows, and data to identify efficiency opportunities including reducing time wasted and unnecessary cost within the business process. Model and simulate warehouse operations to test throughput, labour productivity, and space utilisation. Oversee design documentation, proposal development, and approval processes. Communicate design concepts and business cases effectively to operations leaders, finance teams, and senior management. Collaborate with suppliers, contractors, and technology providers to validate design feasibility alongside our internal cross-functional teams (engineering, IT, automation vendors, operations, finance). Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure competitive and innovative solutions. Communicate design concepts and business cases effectively to operations leaders, finance teams, and senior management. What We’re Looking For A strong background in industrial engineering and time study. Highly adaptable with a passion for innovation and solution design. Previous experience, and the willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies, trends and best practices in logistics and warehouse management. Proven experience in applying a level of creativity and innovation when applying new solutions or technologies to enhance operational efficiency. Strong understanding of logistics operations, supply chain solutions and industry trends. At the forefront of industry trends and emerging technologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, commercial awareness and financial modelling ability. Excellent communication and presentation skills — able to convey complex concepts clearly.
