Salary: Competitive Overview We're looking for an experienced Principal or Senior Systems Engineer to play a key role in delivering complex engineering solutions across a range of high-impact projects. You'll take technical ownership of key systems engineering activities, lead multidisciplinary teams, and drive the delivery of innovative solutions that meet our clients' mission-critical needs. ??? Key Responsibilities Lead the definition, development, and delivery of complex system solutions across the full engineering life cycle. Own complete work packages, ensuring successful delivery within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Develop system architectures, define technical requirements, and lead trade-off and impact analysis to guide decision-making. Produce and review core systems engineering documentation, including requirement specifications, interface definitions, and verification strategies. Plan and execute design reviews, working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external partners. Support the integration, verification, and validation of system components, ensuring they meet performance and compliance requirements. Contribute to bids and proposals by estimating effort, preparing technical responses, and developing system concepts. Act as a technical mentor, supporting the growth of junior engineers and promoting best practices in systems engineering. ? Required Skills & Experience Proven track record in systems engineering, ideally within defence, aerospace, transport, or related sectors. Strong background in systems engineering methodologies such as the V-model, MBSE, or Agile systems development. Proficient in requirements management and systems architecture development. Experience working across multidisciplinary teams and engaging with stakeholders at all levels. Excellent documentation and presentation skills. Familiar with tools such as IBM DOORS, Enterprise Architect, and modelling languages like SysML or UML. ?? Desirable Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline. INCOSE ASEP/CSEP certification or equivalent systems engineering accreditation. Experience with system integration, verification, and validation within a regulated environment Exposure to safety-critical or secure systems is a plus. ??
