In this role you will have the opportunity to educate staff and students in the clinical setting while working clinically with nursing teams in specialised areas. You will collaborate with the Ward Manager to enhance the improvement of nursing staff and be supported by the Oncology and Haematology Directorate Education Team.
Main duties of the job

 * Deliver education programmes at a divisional level and cross‑divisional where required, supporting organisational priorities
 * Manage your own time to balance clinical education with education administrative activities
 * Actively promote and contribute to an inter‑professional learning environment
 * Assist in anticipating and addressing the educational needs of the service
 * Work across boundaries to proactively develop partnerships
 * Participate in audit, service improvement and research projects relevant to the clinical educator role
 * Collaborate with local and corporate practice development teams

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The postholder will be an experienced, knowledgeable practitioner who provides clinically based practice development and education to the non‑medical workforce. You will role‑model best, evidence‑based professional practice and support learning needs on the clinical area. Clinical education for all bedside learners is a substantial part of this role.
Person specification
Education and Qualifications
 * UK health‑related recognised degree, relevant to post
 * Evidence of ongoing professional development through NMC revalidation maintenance
 * Evidence of experience and qualifications in supervising and assessing colleagues and learners
Experience and Knowledge
 * Appropriate period of post‑registration acute nursing experience
 * Evidence of specialist knowledge appropriate to the clinical area
