As a Lead Engineer – Azure Cloud Platform (ACP), you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our cloud infrastructure. You’ll lead the technical vision for our strategic Azure Cloud Platform, ensuring it’s secure, scalable, and optimised for performance. This is your chance to make a real impact – not just on our technology, but on the health and wellbeing of millions.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and mentor a team of engineers, ensuring they have the skills and tools to deliver high-quality platform services.
* Package Azure services into reusable accelerators for product teams.
* Drive automation, evergreen updates, and security compliance across the platform.
* Standardise DevOps tooling and best practices across Bupa.
* Maintain expert-level knowledge of Azure services and industry trends.
* Oversee infrastructure operations, release management, configuration management, and software development practices.
* Support cost management, FinOps tagging, and performance optimisation.
* Champion continuous improvement, innovation, and customer-centric solutions.

What We’re Looking For

* Proven experience in leading cloud engineering teams, ideally within Azure environments.
* Deep knowledge of Azure services, DevOps practices, and cloud security.
* Strong background in infrastructure operations, release and configuration management.
* Experience with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* A passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and delivering results.
* Ability to manage complexity and make effective decisions under pressure.
* A customer-first mindset and a commitment to Bupa’s purpose and values.

Benefits
Our benefits are designed to make health happen for our people. Viva is our global wellbeing programme and includes all aspects of our health – from mental and physical, to financial, social and environmental wellbeing. We support flexible working and have a range of family-friendly benefits.

Joining Bupa in this role you will receive the following benefits and more:

* 25 days holiday, increasing through length of service, with option to buy or sell
* Enhanced pension and life insurance
* Private medical insurance
* Access to our health assessments and dental insurance
* Discounts on Bupa products and services
