About the role

The Education Improvement and Standards team delivers services predominantly for Coventry children, ensuring vulnerable children are supported and achieve progress. The Access to Education Team supports admission of children and young people from overseas and manages statutory duties related to Children Missing Education.
Responsibilities
* Support new families to access school places.
* Investigate and manage Children Missing Education cases.
* Ensure compliance with child licencing and employment regulations.
* Support the Safe Staffing (Chaperone) recruitment process.
* Maintain confidentiality and manage enquiries in a fast‑paced team.
* Work collaboratively across the Council and with external agencies.
Qualifications
* Right to work in the UK; no sponsor offered.
* Proficiency in involving children from overseas, and experience with statutory duties.
* Experience dealing with the general public in a front‑line service.
* Excellent communication, organisational and computer literacy skills.
* High level of interpersonal skills; polite and approachable manner.
* Ability to prioritise and work independently with minimum supervision.
* Successful DBS check via Disclosure and Barring Service.
