Represent Gloucestershire County Council in court and tribunal hearings. Draft and review legal documents, ensuring compliance with current legislation and policies. Collaborate with various departments within the council to provide comprehensive legal support. Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation and decision-making. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legal developments and best practices. Person Specification Qualified solicitor or barrister with a valid practicing certificate. Extensive experience in SEND law and advocacy. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Proven ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., CIMA, CIPD) is desirable. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
