Lecturer in English
Windsor Forest Colleges Group is looking for a Lecturer in English to join the Berkshire College of Agriculture team. This is a permanent, full‑time position with a salary ranging from £31,633 (T1) up to £45,341 (T11), depending on qualifications and experience. The expected start date for this role is Wednesday the 19th of August 2026.
Responsibilities
As a Lecturer in English, you will teach post‑16 learners, helping them build the reading, writing, speaking and listening skills required for GCSE or Functional Skills qualifications. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons that support learners with a wide range of starting points and experiences. Working closely with Learning Support Assistants, you will adapt your teaching so that every student can take part and make progress.
You will use assessment to understand where learners are, address gaps in their knowledge and help them improve over time. You will also play an important role in encouraging attendance and building learners’ confidence in English.

You should care about your subject, communicate clearly, and be able to motivate students who may find English challenging.
