Office Assistant
Location: Newcastle, office based
Hours: 30 - 37.5 hours per week
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: Real Living Wage
Benefits: 23 days annual leave with the option to buy 3 additional days of annual leave each year, EOT, with non taxable bonus scheme, Travel pass discounts

We’re Drummond Central – and we’re not looking for just anyone.

This isn’t your average office assistant role. You’ll get under the skin of how a creative agency really runs – from the spark of an idea to the finished thing out in the real world. Something you can watch, touch or feel, and you can proudly say, “I helped make that.” It’s a vital role and you’ll help shape the culture, raise the standards and make the work shine.

Forget being chained to a desk. This role has you moving through the building – from the attic to the basement and everywhere in between. You'll be prepping meeting rooms and keeping our spaces in shape. It's hands-on, it's active, and it means you're at the heart of what makes this place tick.

What You’ll Do

You’ll be someone who keeps the whole place ticking, the calm behind the scenes, who helps the magic happen. One day you’ll be organising client meetings, the next you might be sorting things that need sorting – keeping us tidy, well-stocked and running smoothly. You’ll help DC feel like DC – a welcoming, supportive and well-oiled creative space.

And yeah, that sometimes means rescuing rogue coffee cups.

About You

You might not have much experience in an admin role, let alone a creative agency. And that’s okay.

We are looking for someone who’s:

• Organised, trustworthy, and reliable.
• Not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in.
• Stays one step ahead and spots what needs doing before being asked.
• A strong communicator with a natural knack for building relationships.
• Customer service focused, delivering exceptional experiences for colleagues, clients, and third parties.
• Motivated by being part of something great – a strong team player.

The Role (the official stuff)

• Support the day-to-day running of Drummond Central.
• Keep the building tidy, stocked, safe and ready for great work to happen.
• Manage the office supplies, keeping our stationery, consumables, and – most importantly – our coffee beans stocked up.
• Be our logistics lead – booking accommodation, travel and company events.
• Play an active and involved customer services role with clients, and third parties, delivering an exceptional client experience.
• Manage our business services contracts for facilities, coordinating maintenance and repairs.
• Keep records up to date and ensure health, safety and wellbeing compliance.
• Maintain Health, Safety and Wellbeing standards, finding opportunities for improvement, and cultivating a safe and supporting environment.

This role plays a key part in helping us deliver our best work and be our best selves.
