We are currently recruiting for a Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse to join 8 West Ward within the Medicine for the Elderly Department at Charing Cross Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic, experienced, and motivated individuals who thrive in a collaborative and established team environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care, working closely with the established nursing team to maintain and uphold standards in line with Trust policies and NMC guidelines.

Education/ Qualifications
Essential criteria
7. Active Registration with the NMC
8. Degree/diploma in health related subject.
Desirable criteria
9. Evidence of appropriate post graduate education/CPD
10. Mentorship qualification.
Experience
Essential criteria
11. Substantial post registration experience.
12. Evidence of working as an autonomous practitioner.
13. Evidence of close working with all members of the multidisciplinary team in a medicine for the elderly ward.
14. Aware of recent developments within nursing particularly care of the elderly.
15. Understanding of clinical governance.
16. Awareness of national guidelines and standards of care of the elderly.
Desirable criteria
17. Proven experience in a care of the elderly specialism.
18. Experience of implementing quality improvement projects, based on evidence based practice.
19. To have had experience in clinical audit, research or policy/guideline development
20. Experience of contributing to care pathways and discharge process of the care of the elderly.
Skills/Knowledge/ Abilities
Essential criteria
21. Substantial post registration experience. Evidence of working as a Band 5.
22. Evidence of close working with all members of the multidisciplinary team.
23. Proven knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology of ageing. Aware of recent developments within nursing.
24. Understanding of clinical governance.
25. Awareness of national guidelines and standards of care on the management of elderly patients.
26. Knowledge and understanding of measuring outcomes
