We’re looking for a Web & Email Designer to join our in‑house Creative & Digital team at Screwfix on a 12‑month fixed term contract.
This role is ideal for someone with strong experience designing for responsive web and email platforms, with advanced hands‑on skills in Figma. You’ll create digital assets that are visually engaging, technically considered, and optimised for customer experience across desktop and mobile.
Working closely with CRM, Marketing, E‑Commerce and Creative teams, you’ll bring campaigns and customer journeys to life through thoughtful, high‑quality digital design.
This is not a brand, illustration or animation‑focused role. We’re specifically looking for a designer with strong experience in digital layout design, responsive execution, and UI‑focused creative for web and email channels.

Responsibilities
* Adapt creative concepts into digital‑ready assets for web, email, and app
* Design high‑quality digital content in Figma, following brand, UX, and performance principles
* Support email campaigns by creating animations using After Effects or Adobe Animate
* Partner with Marketing, E‑Commerce, CRM, and the creative team to deliver seamless, high‑impact campaigns
* Review and refine digital assets to ensure quality, accuracy, and brand consistency
* Manage design files, templates, and versioning in Figma
* Bring fresh ideas, new techniques, and creative thinking to the team
* Share knowledge and support junior designers with tools, techniques, and best practice
Qualifications
* Experience designing for web, email, and mobile app platforms
* Strong hands‑on Figma skills across pages, banners, templates, and UI layouts
* Understanding of responsive design and UX principles
* Familiarity with After Effects or Adobe Animate for email animation (a bonus, not essential)
* Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat)
* A sharp eye for detail and commitment to high‑quality output
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver at pace
* Curiosity, adaptability, and a passion for digital creativity
