Overview
Finance Graduates at MBDA work in three annual placements to gain knowledge and experience in various areas of Finance, working with colleagues across the business nationally and internationally. At the end of the three years, you will have progressed toward Chartered Accountant status while gaining experience in reporting, budget and business plan preparation, and financial management of contracts. The opportunity includes potential relocations to support placements and career development within MBDA.
Responsibilities
* Accounting and Planning – preparation of company level financial plans and reports for senior management and other stakeholders
* Programme Finance – act as a business partner within multi-functional teams, focused on contract delivery and execution
* Cost Control – manage functional budgets (including Information Management and Facilities) and support cost recovery through hourly rates
* Bids and Contract Evaluation – assist in creating robust, profitable financial proposals to customers for MBDA products and services
* Support and mentorship from experienced Finance team members, a buddy, and a mentor throughout the programme
* Study for the CIMA/ACA Professional Qualification (fully funded) with additional study and exam leave
* End of programme assessment and progression to Chartered Global Management Accountant or Associate Chartered Accountant via Level 7 Accountancy Professional Apprenticeship
Qualifications
* Degree qualified in any subject (minimum 2.2)
* Accounting, Finance or Business qualifications are not essential, but a general interest in Finance and strong numerical skills are important
* Demonstrated interest in Finance and ability to work across teams and cultures

* Salary: £31,500 plus a £3,000 joining bonus
