The opportunity for a full time position of Deputy Charge Nurse for Penny Lane ward in Midlothian Community Hospital has arisen to provide maternity leave cover.
This offers an excellent career development opportunity for an experienced mental health nurse with a passion for providing excellent care - in particular to older adults with Dementia. This is an exciting opportunity to support and lead the team in developing a forward thinking, innovative approach to care for people with moderate and severe dementia. This includes development of inreach and outreach work, and the implementation of Band 4 practitioners within the ward.

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change fulltime working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
