Duties:
1. Receive reports at start of each shift.
2. Carry out duties and tasks delegated under supervision of trained staff. This will include all aspects of personal hygiene, toileting, bathing, dressing and feeding of frail elderly residents.
3. Report any abnormalities detected to R.G.N./Senior Staff.
4. Undertake escort duties as appropriate.
5. Form part of a team using key workers.
6. Use mechanical aids provided, in appropriate manner, for moving and handling immobile clients.
7. Answer call/emergency bells promptly, summoning aid as appropriate.
8. Ensure bedrooms and residents’ personal belongings are kept tidy.
9. Care and appropriate use of all Home equipment, and all residents’ possessions.
10. Set/clear tables, trays, serve meals/drinks to residents and visitors.
11. Read and comply with local policies and procedures.
12. Attend and contribute to staff meetings as appropriate.
13. Undertake in-house training programmes.
14. Undertake national training programmes, as appropriate.
Full Time, 12 hour shifts, 3 on 3 off pattern
