Position Overview We are seeking a full‑time NHS Locum Consultant Dermatologist to work in the Dermatology Department at Kettering General Hospital.
Responsibilities
Provide face‑to‑face and virtual dermatology clinics at Kettering and community hospitals in Corby and Irthlinghborough.
Participate in outpatient phototherapy, patch testing and dressing services.
Support operational activities in two well‑equipped operating rooms, including surgical cases related to skin cancer and referrals to plastic and maxillofacial surgery.
Advise, educate and collaborate with the small GP‑with‑Specialist‑Interest‑led community service, and support expansion into community work as demand grows.
Contribute to development of new services and tailor the role to personal interests.
Maintain clinical duties in line with the timetable agreed with the Chief Executive and remain flexible to changes in scope.
Qualifications
Registered on the Specialist Register for Dermatology or within six months of achieving Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) at interview.
Experience in dermatology with a special interest that complements current service areas is desirable.
Strong clinical, diagnostic and procedural skills in dermatology, including skin cancer management.
