Overview
An experienced Commissioning Manager is required to lead the home-office phase of a major upstream central processing facility (CPF) EPC project. The role reports directly to the Project Manager and involves managing the development of all Commissioning & Operations deliverables during the engineering phase.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the delivery of all Commissioning & Operations documentation, ensuring commissioning and operability requirements are embedded throughout the design.
• Manage a small Commissioning & Operations team based in the home office.
• Develop a wide range of high-quality commissioning deliverables (plans, procedures, PC&C task registers, checklists, test sheets, CMS setup, etc.).
• Participate in engineering reviews, including HAZOP, model reviews, P&ID reviews, and plot plan sessions.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, construction, and client-side commissioning/operations personnel.
• Oversee reporting, progress tracking, budgeting, and alignment with the FEED schedule.
• No business travel to the project country is expected for this phase.
Requirements
• Degree (BSc/B.Eng.) in Engineering, or HNC in a relevant discipline.
• 15–20 years of experience in the oil & gas sector.
• Strong technical writing ability and proven experience producing commissioning deliverables.
• Self-motivated with strong planning, leadership, and organisational skills.
• Familiarity with OPERCOM methodology and completions systems (e.g., iCAPS) is an advantage.
Project Context
The project involves the full-field development of a large onshore oilfield, including the drilling of more than 200 wells feeding into a newly built CPF. The facility is being designed to process over 200 kbopd at peak and includes produced-water treatment and reinjection systems. Associated gas will be exported to a central gas processing hub for commercial distribution, with integrated power and fuel gas support for both upstream and midstream operations.
