Job Description:
We are seeking experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our Driver Hire team in Barnsley for a leading UK value retailer. This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and motivated drivers looking for ongoing work with competitive pay.
Responsibilities:
1. Safely operate HGV Class 2 vehicles for the delivery of goods.
2. Ensure timely and accurate delivery to designated locations.
3. Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
4. Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies.
5. Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
6. Assist with loading and unloading of goods if required.
7. Communicate effectively with the transport team and customers.
Requirements:
8. Valid HGV Class 2 driving licence (CAT C).
9. CPC qualification and valid tachograph card.
10. Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
11. Strong understanding of road safety and traffic regulations.
12. Excellent time management and organisational skills.
13. Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
