An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced Medical Secretary to join and support Heath Street Health Centre within the PCCT Directorate.
Responsibilities
* Provide full and comprehensive secretarial and administrative service to Heath Street Health Centre.
* Support the clinical team when required with dashboard validation and drafting of clinic letters/complaint responses.
* Prioritise and distribute post and take action where appropriate by obtaining additional information or files.
* Draft and type correspondence, reports, memos, e‑mails, minutes and other documentation as required.
* Develop a sound knowledge of the structure of the Directorate in order to distribute information correctly and communicate effectively.
* Co‑ordinate both internal and external meetings and functions on behalf of the Service Manager and Clinical Lead, preparing and circulating agendas and relevant enclosures, ensuring equipment is available and organising refreshments.
* Attend meetings and take, produce and circulate accurate, complex minutes.
* Deal appropriately with enquiries by letter, e‑mail and telephone from staff, external parties and other departments.
Requirements
The post holder will be responsible for all secretarial and administrative duties for the GP practice. The ideal candidate should provide a comprehensive and efficient secretarial service to the team and ensure records are kept up-to-date and accurate.
Must demonstrate good communication and organisational skills, along with a flexible approach to duties. Relevant secretarial or audio‑typing qualifications are required to progress to the interview stage. Organisation, prioritisation of workload and balance with the demands of the role are expected. Knowledge and experience within the health sector would be beneficial.
