An inclusive and welcoming primary school in the Greenford area of Ealing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Key Stage 2 pupil with SEMH needs, particularly anxiety-related challenges. This is a long-term opportunity for the remainder of the academic year, starting as soon as possible. The Role: Provide 1:1 support to a KS2 pupil with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Support the child in managing anxiety, emotional regulation and engagement in learning. Work closely with the class teacher, SENCo and external professionals to implement tailored strategies and interventions. Adapt learning activities to meet the pupil's individual needs. Promote a safe, nurturing and structured environment. Support positive behaviour strategies and emotional wellbeing throughout the school day. The Ideal Candidate: Previous experience supporting children with SEMH, anxiety, or behavioural needs (school-based experience preferred). A calm, patient and empathetic approach. Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships. Understanding of trauma-informed practice and emotional regulation strategies. Committed, reliable and able to start ASAP.
