Description
Loughshore is looking to recruit a Chef to join the team. This is a full-time role.
Loughshore is located in the Jordanstown area of Belfast, on the County Antrim coastline. We are in a quiet area, off a main road, and surrounded by pleasant, private grounds, which our residents help to maintain. Our home offers residential support for 16 people with a primary learning disability diagnosis, people on the autism spectrum, and those with behaviours that may challenge. People with physical health needs are also supported at the home.
What you'll be doing
You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, working together to ensure the smooth running of the service and to support the wellbeing of our residents. While your role doesn’t involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment. Your responsibilities include assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organized, and ensuring spaces are well looked after, contributing to a positive experience for residents and staff.
* Ensuring effective planning, preparation, and delivery of all food-related activities, considering dietary and nutritional requirements.
* Monitoring the home’s catering budget within Priory standards, managing costs and ensuring quality ingredients in consultation with the Home Manager.
* Researching, developing, and creating varied menus that follow healthy eating guidelines and meet residents’ dietary needs.
* Managing and rotating food stocks appropriately.

What you'll bring to the role
