Those huge small victories As a SEN Primary Teacher, you’ll know that progress doesn’t always look like test scores or neat exercise books. Sometimes it’s sitting through a lesson. Sometimes it’s trusting an adult. Sometimes it’s believing they can succeed. These are the huge small victories. They might seem small from the outside, but together they change lives, and they’re celebrated every day in this school. The role You’ll be teaching pupils with autism and SEMH needs, helping them build confidence, develop their skills and rediscover a love of learning. You’ll need resilience, patience and creativity, but the rewards are powerful. The steps forward your pupils make, often against the odds, will stay with you long after the school day ends.
