HGV Mechanic – Full-Time
Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:30–17:30
On Call: 1 week in every 6
Location: Launceston, Cornwall

About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and reliable HGV Mechanic to join our growing team. This is a varied role involving both breakdown work and workshop-based maintenance and repairs. You will often be working independently, so confidence in your skills and the ability to make clear decisions on-site are essential.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will be:
Qualified as an HGV technician/mechanic
Experienced in servicing, repairs, and diagnostics
Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
Honest, dependable, and punctual with a strong work ethic
Able to carry out breakdown call-outs and workshop repairs confidently
What We Offer
Competitive wage based on experience and qualifications (£45,000-£55,000)

Monday–Friday daytime hours with only one week in six on-call

Running the latest diagnostics software.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults on HGVs
Carry out routine servicing, inspections, and maintenance
Attend roadside breakdowns and complete call-outs efficiently
Work safely and to a high standard at all times
Maintain accurate records and communicate clearly with customers and the team
