Responsibilities
* Prepare detailed mechanical estimates by reviewing drawings, specifications, and scope
* Conduct quantity take-offs and cost analysis for materials, labor, and equipment
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to gather required information
* Review subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure accuracy
* Identify cost‑saving opportunities and provide value engineering suggestions
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market pricing and industry standards
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the construction or mechanical services industry
* Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC and plant equipment
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Proficiency with estimation software and Microsoft Office applications
* Strong analytical and numerical skills
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering, construction, or related fields are desirable
