Owen Mumford is looking to hire two enthusiastic, skilled, and innovative Apprentice Design Engineers. Could this be your next role?
As part of the R&D department you will be working on exciting and challenging projects from conception through to production. You will have the opportunity to experience all aspects of a full medical device design role working alongside Customers, Sales and Marketing, Project Management, Quality, and Manufacturing departments.
Reporting directly to a Principal Design Engineer & Design Team leader or Senior Design Engineer you will be an integral member of the R&D Team and accountable for development within Device Research.
Please be aware this role is offered full time and will have 1 day release during the week at the chosen college or course provider for formal learning. The apprenticeship lasts approximately 48 Months and you'll complete this with gaining a Level 6 apprenticeship.
Key Responsibilities:
1. To gain a thorough understanding of R&D practices across Owen Mumford, learning on the job and through time with your mentor.
2. To query / question at all times, in order to expand the apprentices knowledge base and to insure full understanding of work instructions given and any safety implications of such instructions.
