Overview
The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant Oncologist - Breast & Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary. The closing date is 25 February 2026.
To ensure the continued delivery of high-quality oncological care to patients within the trust and to contribute to the development of the service. The appointee will be Lead Medical Oncology Consultant for Breast & Hepatico-Pancreatico-Biliary cancers. The unit has rising referrals and use of multiple lines of chemotherapy, including monoclonal antibodies and newer agents. The appointee will maintain and enhance multidisciplinary management, increase entry of patients into clinical trials, and expand the service to meet patient needs.
Main duties
The appointed consultant is expected to contribute to the ongoing service improvement program, developing:
* Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT)
* Implementing evidence-based new ways of working when necessary

Person Specification
Qualifications
* MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
* MRCP Part 1 and Part 2
* Postgraduate thesis awarded or pending
Experience
* Full Registration and a licence to practise with the General Medical Council.
* Entry on GMC Specialist Register; eligible for entry on Register or within six months of receipt of Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR) at time of interview
* Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining UK CCT in Medical Oncology
* Wide experience of prescribing chemotherapy including E-prescribing.
* Experience of Acute Oncology
