We are currently recruiting for a Shift Supervisor (6am - 2pm) to join our Warehouse operation. Working as part of, and in support of the Shift Management team, you will be actively seeking to improve overall standards, productivity & morale of the shift.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervise the early shift of up to 40 colleagues
2. Make H&S the principal focus of everyone in your team, ensuring that our colleagues operate safely in a safe working environment
3. Promote Colleague engagement, motivation & well being.
4. Determine staffing levels across operational tasks and assign workload
5. Identify areas of improvement and suggest innovative improvements or adjust existing work procedures and practice
6. Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employees performance
7. Manage resource to budget
8. Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction by driving improvements in pick accuracy and damage reduction.
9. Work collaboratively with other departments and business units to deliver excellent service to our customers.
The Person:
10. Previous experience of leading teams within a logistics environment.
11. Able to display effective supervisory skills and techniques
12. Knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiency
13. Ability to input, retrieve and analyse data
14. Hands-on commitment to getting the job done
15. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
16. Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations
17. Strong organisational and time management skills
