Search Consultancy is currently looking for skilled and experienced Wallpaper Hangers for upcoming projects across the Newcastle area. We pride ourselves on connecting top-tier tradespeople with reputable contractors, ensuring high-quality finishes on every site.

Requirements & Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following:
Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Decorative Finishing and Industrial Painting (Wallcovering pathway) is highly preferred.
CSCS Card: A valid Blue (Skilled Worker) or Gold (Advanced Craft) CSCS card.
Experience: Proven track record in hanging wide-format vinyls, murals, hand-printed papers, and standard patterns.
Tools & Kit: Must have a full professional kit, including high-quality brushes/rollers, specialist shears, pasting machines (where applicable), levels, and plumb lines.
PPE: Full standard Personal Protective Equipment (Hard hat, high-vis vest, and steel toe boots).
Transport: Valid driving license and reliable transport to reach various sites across the North East.
The Role
As a Wallpaper Hanger representing Search, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Surface Preparation: Stripping old wallcoverings, filling cracks, sanding, and priming surfaces to ensure a perfect base.
Precision Application: Measuring, cutting, and hanging a variety of materials including wide-format vinyls, hand-printed papers, and bespoke murals.
Pattern Matching: Ensuring seamless alignment of complex patterns and vertical accuracy using plumb lines.
Quality Control: Managing paste application to avoid bubbling or staining and ensuring all edges are perfectly butt-jointed.
Site Maintenance: Keeping a clean and tidy workspace, especially when working in finished or high-end environments.
