An exciting opportunity has arisen for a HCSW to join our skilled and dedicated team.
This post is within a consultant-led multidisciplinary team providing expert assessment and rehabilitation for adults aged 16‑64 years with a neurological disability. The service has 12 beds dedicated to active rehabilitation.
This is a new post to support the team to deliver on the Scottish Major Trauma Pathway, which aims to improve rehabilitation for major trauma patients across Fife.
The inpatient rehabilitation programme seeks to provide a high standard of care and rehabilitation to people with a variety of neurological conditions with a particular emphasis on acquired brain injury and major trauma.
Responsibilities
As part of a progressive multidisciplinary team the post holder will assist in the delivery of high quality programmes of rehabilitative care to meet the needs of individual patients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone wishing to develop their knowledge and skills in neuro rehabilitation.
Working Hours and Pay
As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
Legal and Immigration
NHS Fife is legally obliged to ensure all its employees are legally entitled to work in the United Kingdom. All applicants are required to confirm their right to work in the UK in their application. If you are not a United Kingdom (UK), European Community (EC) or European Economic Area National please state the visa category under which you are legally entitled to work in the UK on your application form and the expiry date of your leave to remain in the UK.
For specific types of post, if you do not have the necessary eligibility to work in the UK, it might be possible (though not guaranteed) to secure sponsorship via a UK Skilled Worker/Health & Care Worker Visa. However, this is only possible if the employer is a licensed Sponsor, and if the post does not fall below the current minimum salary threshold or ‘going rate’.
