Job Purpose Our Garage Services Drivers carry out the collection of filter bins, battery banks, anti-freeze, contaminated fuel, rag bins etc from businesses and automotive sources whilst promoting the Slicker workplace values. We are currently looking for a Driver to be based out of our Trafford Park Transfer station site. We are Smart, Honest and Reliable, working Together whilst having Fun. Main Tasks and responsibilities Professional HGV Class 2 Driver Manual collection of garage waste- bins/drums/IBC's Loading and offloading of vehicle, multi drops and collections Completion of all relevant electronic information to generate consignment notes Maintain compliance with all relevant legislation - including daily walk around, drivers hours etc Adhering to company Health & Safety policies and procedures Representing the company in a professional manner when dealing with the customers and members of the public Apply the Slicker values to your role, “People rarely succeed unless they have Fun in what they are doing.” Essential skills and experience Must be able to keep up with the physical demands of the manual work involved Able to communicate clearly with customers and colleagues Ability to work unsupervised Team player Flexibility to work longer hours during busy periods and must be prepared to stay out overnight on occasions Licences / Qualifications HGV Class C (Class 2) Licence - Required ADR Licence - Preferred FLT (Counterbalance) Licence - Desirable Hours of work Standard hours: 48 hours, Monday to Friday Overtime available Values The successful candidate will have the ability to demonstrate, understand and apply our workplace values.
